Looking for something to do this Memorial Day weekend? Then you won’t want to miss the “Children with Diabetes” family weekend at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida!
Children with Diabetes is an organization formed to promote understanding of diabetes in children; the group is known for its “Friends for Life” conferences that “provide education and support for children with diabetes and their families.” (To learn more about what it’s like to attend one of these conferences, read these entries by Maryam Elarbi.)
The group has been offered a special rate of $79 a night plus tax for Friday, May 23, 2014, through Monday, May 26, 2014, at Rosen Shingle Creek, a luxury resort in Orlando. (The rate applies to one to two adults in the room; children 17 and under are free in the same room.) Reservations can be made either on the Rosen Single Creek website or by calling (866) 996-6338. Be sure to request the group rate for the Children with Diabetes room block.
The weekend is not a conference — Children with Diabetes is not providing meals, childcare, or educational sessions — but they will be providing great company for a fun vacation.
