Farewell for Now

Farewell for Now

I am hopeful that my series of blog entries about going to the grocery store while managing diabetes has been helpful. Making food choices can be extremely overwhelming at first, especially when you are dealing with so many additional factors like budget, tastes, and other health concerns. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, and take it one trip at a time! If this was too much information to digest in one visit to the grocery store, focus on one aisle each time you go back.

On that note, I will say that this will be my last blog post for the time being for Diabetes Self-Management. Sometimes, it’s important to take a step back and examine when our plates may be a little too full and how it may be affecting our diabetes control.

Keep your eye out for an article I have written for the May/June issue of Diabetes Self-Management on the topic of eating at restaurants with diabetes while also trying to stick to a diet. I plan to continue to add content to this wonderful resource in other ways in the future! (Editor’s note: Click here to subscribe to Diabetes Self-Management.)

In the meantime, have your cake and eat it too…as long as it’s a small portion!

Thank you!
