Diabetic Cooking

Strawberry-banana frost

Preparation time: 10 minutes.


  • 1 cup unsweetened frozen strawberries, slightly thawed
  • 1 8-inch banana, sliced, frozen, and slightly thawed
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry 100%-fruit spread
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened orange juice


Place all ingredients in a blender, cover, and blend until smooth (mixture will be thick), periodically scraping down sides. Serve immediately.

Yield: 1 1/2 cups.

Serving size: 1/2 cup.
