In conjunction with Diabetes Awareness Month, SUPERVALU Inc. has recently launched a program called “Living healthy with my diabetes” for its family of grocery stores. From November 7 to November 20, it will be offering free savings booklets for diabetes-related products and health screenings for A1C, cholesterol, and liver function for $19.99. Select locations will also offer free blood glucose screenings from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, November 13.
In addition to this month’s special services, year-round program elements will include “Eating healthy with diabetes” store tours by specially trained pharmacists and dietitians, online menu ideas and recipes, and in-store pharmacy education, face-to-face medication reviews, and self-management services.
The SUPERVALU family of stores includes Acme, Albertsons, Cub Foods, Farm Fresh, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s/Star Market, Shop ‘n Save, and Shoppers Food & Pharmacy.
