Recently, Walmart has introduced some changes to its pharmacy and prescription drug costs. Those with diabetes might be interested to know what the newest changes are.
Walmart now sells the erectile dysfuntion drug Levitra (brand name vardenafil) for $9 a pill and ReliOn Confirm Blood Glucose Meters for $9 as part of their effort in “helping people with diabetes by offering a comprehensive, value-priced” line of diabetes products. Further, manufacturer Eli Lilly has created a private-label Humulin ReliOn brand line of insulin that is being sold exclusively at Walmart and Sam’s Club stores for $24.88 per 10-mililliter vial.
