What We’re Reading: Free Prescription Savings Cards

The American Diabetes Association is partnering up with a program called Together RX Access[1] in order to help those with diabetes more easily access medicines. Together RX offers free prescription drug cards — no monthly fee, no enrollment fee, and no maximum limit for use. Simply present your Together RX Access card at the pharmacy. The program currently offers over 300 FDA approved medicines at a 25% to 45% discount. Furthermore, many generic medicines are also available at a reduced cost through the program.

To find out if you are eligible or how to enroll in the program, you can check the Together RX Access Web site eligibility requirements[2]. It is important to note that this free service is a prescription drug savings card only, and not health insurance.
