What We’re Reading: “Eating Healthy With My Diabetes”

Earlier this year, we brought you news about SUPERVALU’s “Living Healthy With My Diabetes” Program. In addition to easier-to-read nutrition labels[1] highlighting certain healthy characteristics of a product, SUPERVALU stores have launched the next phase of their program. Throughout this year, members of the SUPERVALU family (including Acme, Albertson’s, Cub, Farm Fresh, Jewel-Osco, Shaws, Shop ‘N Save, and Shoppers Pharmacy) will be offering a new program to help shoppers more easily navigate the supermarket. From now until December, stores will offer two-hour-long guided tours for interested customers. These tours will share practical meal-planning strategies and how to interpret nutrition labels, and they will include follow-up opportunities to speak with a pharmacist should you have further questions.

To find out more about this program, you can visit www.eatinghealthywithmydiabetes.com/[2]. To find the store closest to you with this program, you can try the store locator on the top right of the page, which will also allow you to register for a tour of your choice.
