U.S. Congress Holds Hearings on Insulin Costs

The American Diabetes Association[1]’s (ADA’s) Chief Scientific, Medical and Mission Officer, William T. Cefalu, MD, JDRF Chief Mission Officer, Aaron Kowlaski[2] and other prominent diabetes advocates testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy & Commerce’s Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee today. The topic, “Priced Out of a Lifesaving Drug: The Human Impact of Rising Insulin Prices” addressed the rising costs of insulin[3], which impact millions of Americans with diabetes who rely on this life-sustaining medication.
