If you have Type 2 diabetes and are at least 25 years old, then you may be interested in participating in a survey being conducted by Tracy M. Towne, MSN, RN, a student at Mercer University, to improve outcomes for people with diabetes.
The study is designed to assess the factors that influence how people with Type 2 diabetes manage their condition, including the education and support they receive. One of the questionnaires included in the survey will screen for depression; if a person’s responses indicate possible depression, the researcher will follow up with information on contacting a health-care professional.
Data collected as part of the survey is confidential, and any results published will be for the entire group of participants. After three years, the survey responses will be destroyed.
The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Respondents will receive a $5.00 gift card to a local merchant for their time.
For more information about the study, contact Towne at (608) 815-0267 or [email protected]. And to take the survey, click here.
