March is National Nutrition Month®, a nutrition education and information campaign promoted each year by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to focus attention on “the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.”
The theme for 2015 is “Bite Into a Healthy Lifestyle,” encouraging everyone to eat fewer calories, choose foods wisely, and exercise daily.
To promote the adoption of these healthful habits, the official National Nutrition Month® website includes useful tips, games, and educational resources ranging from an explanation of the U.S. government’s MyPlate campaign to information on what a registered dietitian can do for you to nutrition sudoku and word search games.
