Twenty-nine million people in the United States are currently living with diabetes, but more than eight million of them are undiagnosed. To help Americans take charge of their health, Sam’s Club will be offering free diabetes screenings to both members and the public this Saturday.
The screenings, valued at $250, will include tests of blood glucose, A1C (a measure of blood glucose control over the previous 2–3 months), total cholesterol, HDL (“good”) cholesterol, risk ratio (the relationship between total and HDL cholesterol), blood pressure, and body-fat percentage.
The screenings will be offered from 11 AM to 3 PM at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy 599 locations nationwide). For more information, visit the Sam’s Club website.
