“Diabetes Won’t Stop Me” Campaign

Not gonna let diabetes stop you? Then share your message with the world!

The You Can Do This Project and Jerry the Bear have teamed up for a video campaign called “Diabetes Won’t Stop Me.” People with diabetes are invited to make a short video — less than 30 seconds — talking about the dreams and goals that they have or want to accomplish. Starting on November 14, World Diabetes Day, the videos should be uploaded onto a platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, or Vine, along with the hashtag #DWontStopMe. (Alternately, videos can be submitted here.) Every video will be featured on the You Can Do This Project’s Web site, as well as on Jerry the Bear’s Facebook page.

Being a little older, I don’t know how to make a video and post it, but I’m so proud I would like to share. Recently when we were in Italy, we went to Naples, and actually climbed Mt. Visuvius, 4320 feet high, that my father climbed in 1943, before it blew it’s top in 1944, the last time. My boyfriend is 81, and I’m 71. I have Diabetes, Asthma, and Soriatic Arthritis, and he has Leukemia.

That is fantastic, Luan! Congratulations to you and your boyfriend on the accomplishment!
