Diabetes Talk Radio

If you’re a fan of talk radio, then you’ll want to check out DSMA Live[1], an online radio show by people with diabetes, for people with diabetes.

Diabetes Social Media Advocacy (DSMA)[2] promotes all forms of social media in an effort to educate and connect people who have diabetes. As part of this mission, the group conducts live, hour-long radio shows for people with diabetes and for parents of children with diabetes. Shows are available in both English and Spanish.

The hour-long shows are hosted by Cherise Shockley, George Simmons, and Scott K. Johnson,[3] three well-known figures in the diabetes online community. Episodes include interviews with health-care professionals and industry representatives, discussions with people who are living with diabetes, and more.

DSMA Live airs every other Monday at 9 PM EST on Blog Talk Radio[4]. DSMA En Vivo, the Spanish-language version of the show, airs every other Tuesday at 9 PM. And DSMA Live: Parents (‘Rents) Talk airs every other Thursday at 9 PM. Previously aired episodes of the show are available on the Web site on demand.
