If you’re a fan of talk radio, then you’ll want to check out DSMA Live, an online radio show by people with diabetes, for people with diabetes.
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy (DSMA) promotes all forms of social media in an effort to educate and connect people who have diabetes. As part of this mission, the group conducts live, hour-long radio shows for people with diabetes and for parents of children with diabetes. Shows are available in both English and Spanish.
The hour-long shows are hosted by Cherise Shockley, George Simmons, and Scott K. Johnson, three well-known figures in the diabetes online community. Episodes include interviews with health-care professionals and industry representatives, discussions with people who are living with diabetes, and more.
DSMA Live airs every other Monday at 9 PM EST on Blog Talk Radio. DSMA En Vivo, the Spanish-language version of the show, airs every other Tuesday at 9 PM. And DSMA Live: Parents (‘Rents) Talk airs every other Thursday at 9 PM. Previously aired episodes of the show are available on the Web site on demand.
