In honor of American Diabetes Month this November, Web site DiabetesCare.net is looking to hear about “diabetes heroes” — the health-care providers or caretakers who have gone above and beyond to help you manage your condition.
To enter the contest, DiabetesCare.net members are invited to visit the site through November 30 and, in 300 words or less, describe why their health-care provider or caretaker deserves the designation of diabetes hero. Visitors to the site will vote on the best “hero” story submitted, with the winning health-care provider receiving a $500 gift card and the person who nominated the hero receiving a $250 gift card.
The winning duo will be announced on December 10, 2012, on the DiabetesCare.net Web site and the associated Twitter and Facebook pages. The contest is open to both US and international residents; a free DiabetesCare.net membership is required to submit a story and to vote.
