On Saturday, March 9, the 2013 JDRF Type 1 Diabetes Research Summit will be taking place in Bethesda, Maryland.

The summit, which is free (with a suggested donation), will include expert presentations on advancements in Type 1 diabetes research; a questions-and-answers session with panelists; a youth program for kids and teens featuring motivational speakers, games, and crafts; an exhibition hall featuring Type 1 technology and information; and more.

In addition, Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet[1], “an international network of researchers who are exploring ways to prevent, delay and reverse the progression of type 1 diabetes,” will be screening at the summit.

The conference will take place from 9 AM to 4:15 PM, with registration and vendor exhibits opening at 9 AM at the Bethesda North Marriot Hotel & Conference Center (5701 Marinelli Road, near the White Flint Metro Station). The hotel is offering special $89 a night to summit attendees. To learn more, and to register for one of the limited spots at the event, visit www.jdrfsummit.org[2].
