Spiced apple date oatmeal

Preparation time: 5 minutes


 

1 packet (1 ounce) plain instant oatmeal (look for a brand with no sodium)
1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
2 tablespoons chopped dried apple
1 tablespoon chopped dates
1 dash cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
NutraSweet to taste

Empty dry oatmeal into a cereal bowl and set aside. Place apple juice in a small saucepan and bring to a boil (or heat in microwave). Add apple juice, dried apple, dates, cinnamon, nutmeg, and NutraSweet to oatmeal and stir to combine. Let stand 1 minute. Serve right away.
