What We’re Reading: Raise Your Voice!

By Web Team | April 10, 2008 4:26 pm

Next Monday, April 14, will be Raise Your Voice Day, a day dedicated to increasing awareness about Type 1 diabetes through blogging, volunteering, fundraising, and other efforts.

The day was created by Kerri Morrone, who writes about her life with Type 1 diabetes on the blog Six Until Me[1]. You can read more about the Raise Your Voice initiative in Kerri’s posts “Raise Your Voice: Ideas,”[2] “Raise Your Voice: Two More Weeks,”[3] and “Sound the Alarm: Diabetes Alert Day.”[4]

You can download the Raise Your Voice icon (in a variety of colors) from Kerri’s blog, and you can also purchase items featuring the logo here[5]—profits go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF).

How will you help raise awareness about Type 1 diabetes on Monday? Share your ideas with a comment here.
