Type 1 Symposium at Joslin Diabetes CenterWeb Team September 27, 2012 The renowned Joslin Diabetes Center will be hosting its first-ever “Innovations in Care and Discovery” symposium tailored to children and families living with Type 1 diabetes. Agenda items include presentations on advances in research, information about Joslin’s models of care, and insights from Joslin Medalists who have been living with Type 1 free from complications for 50 or more years. The symposium will be taking place on Tuesday, October 16, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at One Joslin Place in Boston, Massachusetts. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided. For more information, visit the Joslin Web site. Kudos to Joslin Diabetes Center for taking the initiative to organize this symposium. Such symposiums are highly pivotal, when it is seen that majority of the diabetics are unaware of the basics of diabetes care. Moreover, here, the entity to be hosting the event is the highly reputed Joslin; diabetics can just rest assured of getting apt guidance at this symposium.
