Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to commit to an exercise plan? If you did — and if you’re already feeling your enthusiasm for your new routine waning — then you’re not alone.
To help keep you from becoming an “exercise dropout,” Sheri Colberg, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Recreation at Old Dominion University, has written a piece on the top reasons people give up on exercising — and how to avoid or overcome each one. Whether you’re concerned about a lack of time, are working too hard, have injuries or disabilities to deal with, or are just plain not having fun, Sheri has some advice for you.
