The Big Blue Test is back!

Started by the Diabetes Hands Foundation in 2009, the Big Blue Test is a way to remind people with diabetes of the importance of staying active while simultaneously raising funds for people with diabetes in need.

Those with diabetes can participate in the campaign any time between November 1 and November 14 — World Diabetes Day — at midnight (Pacific Time) by checking their blood glucose, getting active, checking their blood glucose again, and sharing the results at the Big Blue Test Web site. (In previous years, participants’ blood glucose levels have declined by 15% to 20% after just 14 minutes of exercise.) In connection with the number of people who do the Big Blue Test, Roche Diabetes Care (makers of Accu-Chek products) will make a donation that benefits more than 8,000 people with diabetes in need.

You can find out more about the program on BigBlueTest.org.
