Diabetes Scholars Foundation Offers College ScholarshipsWeb Team January 14, 2012 If you are a high school senior with Type 1 diabetes who is looking to attend an accredited four-year university, college, or technical or trade school in the fall, then you may be interested in applying for one of the college scholarships being offered by the Diabetes Scholars Foundation. The Diabetes Scholars Foundation is a tax-exempt organization committed to supporting educational activities for and about children with diabetes. The Foundation has provided more than 150 scholarships for children and their families to attend the annual Children With Diabetes “Friends for Life Conference” and has also funded nearly $300,000 worth of college scholarships for children with Type 1 diabetes. Approximately 16 scholarship between $1,000 and $5,000 are being offered to students based on a variety of qualifications, including pursing certain majors, living in certain states, or being a student athlete. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic. She has completed one year of school at a community college but would now like to go to a university to receive a masters of science in nursing. Are there any scholarships for college students who are not seniors in high school?
