Free Every Body Walk! App

Physical activity is integral to managing diabetes, and for many people, walking is the preferred form of exercise. And while a pedometer is a useful tool for keeping track of your walking progress, a new app from health-care consortium Kaiser Permanente can turn your smart phone into more than just a pedometer.

Available in both the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store, the Every Body Walk! app allows you to track various aspects of your walk with just the tap of a button, including the distance, time, and number of calories burned. You can also view walking routes on a map, chart your progress in real time, save information about walks for future reference, and share your walking summaries on Facebook or Twitter.

For more information, and to download the app, visit the Every Body Walk! Web site.

Not all of us can walk because of handicaps. How about something for us? Right now I am under such stress but can’t work if off like those fortunate to be able to get out and walk.
